Is there any difference between the symptoms of swine flu and the symptoms of regular flu?

I was just diagnosed by my doctor today to have the regular flu virus after going through a big swine flu scare. I have researched swine flu a lot and have every symptom associated with it. Is the only difference in terms of actual illness how much more contageous swine flu is? Is swine flu actually worse to get than the regular flu or is it just overhyped?
